Step 1: In the first step please switch off your phone

Step 2: The press and hold the Volume Up and the Volume Down and Power the same time minimum 10 seconds.

Step 3: Then press the Volume key twice until recovery mode appears on the screen.

Step 4: Then release the Volume Down key when you see three android images on your phone.

Step 5: Then press Power key to restart the phone in recovery mode.

Step 6: Then you can see a Android image with a red triangle.

It can be also done via GOOGLE NEXUS 7's settings . It wipes all user data and firmware settings but leaves the contents of your internal SD Card intact. See the following settings:

Step 1: From home screen go to Settings.
Step 2: Then select Backup and Reset if you want to take backup.
Step 3: Then Factory Data Reset
Step 4: Reset Tablet then Erase Everything.
