Ever experience the Nexus 7 not charging/boot looping?

Apparently if you leave your Nexus 7 off for too long without charging and the battery gets too low it won't charge when you plug it back in. There's a circuit that protects the battery and prevents it from charging when the battery gets too low.

If you hold down the two buttons "power and volume rocker" for several seconds the device will boot when plugged in, but as soon as it fully boots up it will show 0% battery and immediately shut down! The problem is it doesn't completely shut down and causes weird screen anomalies.

I figured out when it starts to boot up again and you see the "x" symbol, you hold down the battery and the volume rocker until you get to the boot/rom manager, there you can select it to properly shut down to start charging again.

This was very frustrating, as I've never seen an electronic device act like this before.

Never let the battery completely die. And you've already found the reason why.

Always make sure the charging icon appears when you plug in the charger.

I've had mine not show the charging icon when I plug the charger in. So I turn on the table while it's still connected to the charger. When it gets to the home screen it shows it charging and I'll turn it off.
