#1

I want to downgrade my Xperia Neo from ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) 4.0 to Gingerbread. How do I do this?

I am on stock rom(4.0.4).

I have only 5 apps (300mb phone memory free) but still my mobile lags.

when I press menu button icon are reloaded and RAM are getting full with apps cached.

How can I go back to Gingerbread?

There are two ways to downgrade your phone.

First way – Official, Handling in the Xperia smartphone at Sony Service Center.

Second way – Unofficial , Flash Gingerbread using Flashtool.
Flashing your mobile is at your own risk. Sony would be in no way responsible for any damage.

1)-Download Flashtool And install it
Go to C:/ Drive > flashtool > firmwares > delete everything present and exit
2) Download required ROM
Xperia Neo 4.0.2.A.0.42 4.0.2.A.0.62

4) Run flashtool> click on the flashing icon ( left side below "file" option) Select flashmode > ok

5) left side you must see your firmware name and contents, if you are not able to see contents then use an older version of flashtool ,, on the right side mark boxes as

Select ok

Let the flashtool prepare. It will ask you to connect your mobile, follow the steps to connect.

Note: on devices with touch navigation keys, hold volume down key instead of back button while connecting your device to flashtool.
