Hi ythera, I think there is any mistake on installation time so please try un-installing it and then re-installing from the Play Store to see if that solves your problem, because I am also using Samsung Galaxy S4 android phone and this working fine on whatsapp android app.

Thanks, I hope it will help you.

I'm not sure what is wrong though. When I'm using wifi to access whatsapp, it works great but when I use 3G, it doesn't work at all. No connection it said but I'm able to surf the internet and play other online games using my 3G connection.

Usually, this is caused by a problem with your internet connection or the settings on your phone.
Please try these steps to fix your connection:

Step 1: Reboot your phone (power off, power on).

Step 2: Upgrade WhatsApp to the latest version: Press [Download Now] - once the download is complete, open the file to initiate installation.

Step 3: Turn Wi-Fi off and back on (Android Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi).

Step 4: Try connecting to different Wi-Fi hotspots.

Step 5: Turn Airplane mode on and off.

Step 6: Make sure that data is enabled (Android Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks).

Step 7: Go to Settings > Data Usage > [Menu button] > make sure [Restrict background data] is unchecked.

Step 8: Contact your mobile provider and make sure your APN settings are configured correctly.

If you are often connected to Wi-Fi, check your Wi-Fi sleep policy (Homescreen > [Menu Button] > Settings > Wi-Fi > [Menu Button] > Advanced > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep) and make sure it is set to "Always" or "Only when plugged in."
Step 1: Reboot your Wi-Fi Router.

Step 2: Verify that you receive your Google mail emails on time.

Step 3: Delete and re-install WhatsApp (Note: This will erase your chat history. Be sure to run a manual backup beforehand: WhatsApp > [Menu button] > Settings > Chat Preferences > Backup conversations).

Upgrade your Android OS to the latest version for your device.

If you are able to connect on Wi-Fi but not on your mobile connection (EDGE/2G/3G), double check your APN configuration with your mobile provider. You must be able to send and receive non-web traffic in order to use WhatsApp.

Hello friends,

Please anyone suggest me, How to hide my Online/Offline Status on WhatsApp?

Thanks

There is no option to go invisible or hide your online status from contacts on Android.

However, there is the option to block certain contacts. Once blocked, you will no longer receive messages from that contact, and your "last seen at" or "online" status will not be visible to them.

WhatsApp can find which of your friends are using WhatsApp quickly and easily. WhatsApp reads your contacts' phone numbers from your phone's address book and automatically adds them to WhatsApp. Your contacts who have WhatsApp accounts will automatically appear in the Favorites screen on your iPhone.

If you would like to add someone new to your Favorites list on WhatsApp, simply enter their name and number into your iPhone address book.

When you are adding contacts who live in other countries, make sure that you enter their phone number in the full international format. The format is:

+ [Country Code] [Full Phone Number].

Hopefully it will help you.

Have a nice day.
