Samsung Galaxy S4 mini overheating issue

Hello everyone,I just got my Samasung Galaxy S4 mini android phone and haven't had a problem until today. I made sure to use a task manager to end task as well as keep the screen brightness down and I took off my live wallpaper. Today, I was downloading a game and I noticed it took a lot longer than normal. Soon after the back started to heat and stayed hot. My battery said 78% then less than an hour later it said 20%. I was shocked. Has this happened to anyone else?

Please give me right solutions.Huh

Thanks in advance.

RE: Samsung Galaxy S4 mini overheating issue

I would suggest to report it to your carrier and Samsung. A software issue may not be able to fix it, and if you are not rooted, this will be covered under warranty.

RE: Samsung Galaxy S4 mini overheating issue

Normally, smartphones with larger screen can overheat very quickly due to the power consumption and processing speed required to run the device. But a device that is hot enough to strip off comfort can be a problem.

So see the following tips:

1. Deactivate Wireless Connection
If you are just playing a game which does not require Internet connection, listening to music or watching a video, disable wireless connectivity by simply tapping on the quick toggles from the notifications bar.

2. Choose Apps Wisely
Some applications which are poorly written can cause the CPU of your phone to work twice as much than normal. Read reviews and do a test run if your device will suffer heating problem running a certain app.

3. Brightness, Wallpaper and Themes
For users who frequently browse online or play movies, try to take out background elements such as live wallpaper, themes or transition animations. The CPU has no choice if all these things are running including the strain from load a Web page or playing a movie.

4. Running Applications
Do not leave applications running in the background. Use the back key or manually log out social sites, games and other apps. In this way, the RAM frees memory and less stress to the processor.

5. Internet Gaming
Games using Internet connection will burn your processor and battery at the same time. It is highly recommended to use Wi-Fi instead of 3G or 4G LTE when playing games and make sure that your device is well-ventilated.

6. Ventilation and Temperature
Summer can add stress on your device and high room temperature can build up heat on your phone. Never leave your phone under direct sunlight, place it in a well-ventilated area and let it rest from time to time whenever you're not using it.

RE: Samsung Galaxy S4 mini overheating issue

Since the Samsung Galaxy R got hot and has the same fabrication as the Galaxy S4 mini, but the Galaxy S4 mini has a lot faster cpu and gpu, plus pushing twice as many pixels, it makes sense it can get real hot.

RE: Samsung Galaxy S4 mini overheating issue

I think, if you update your Galaxy S4 mini through OTA ( over the air) after that it will fix overheating issue. I hope other versions will get this update soon. So, the other users just format your memory card, close the apps & games properly after use. Turn off the air gestures, Wifi & Bluetooth immediately after using them. You will find a lot of apps in your phone that you don’t use, delete them all.

I hope after doing the above mentioned things you will get rid of overheating issue.

RE: Samsung Galaxy S4 mini overheating issue

First of all check phone's memory and free Up some memory because too much running on the RAM can also cause overheating problems since the Galaxy S4 mini keeps handling so many things at a time. Uninstall or disable unnecessary apps, reboot the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini phone regularly or use the built-in Task Manager to app to free memory.
Hope Samsung Galaxy S4 mini overheating issue will be resolve. Thanks
