How to make a Samsung Galaxy S5 a wifi access point / repeater without using mobile d - 03-22-2014, 05:18 PM,

Hi everybody, Recently I got Galaxy S5 and want to shares a mobile 3G/ 4G data connection wirelessly. I would like to connect to a wifi hotspot from the device and then share that wifi connection to other devices, creating a WLAN. So wifi in, wifi out.

What could be the problem?

See the following- how to make wifi hotspot on samsung phone:

1- From the Home screen, touch Applications > Settings > More > Tethering and portable hotspot.

2- Touch the slider next to Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to turn the feature On.

3- If you are currently connected to a Wi-Fi access point, you will be disconnected from the access point before you can use the portable Wi-Fi hotspot feature. Touch OK on the Attention screen if you see it.

Configure the Hotspot

1- Touch Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to open the hotspot settings.

2- You can use the preconfigured settings or touch Configure to adjust the settings. You may also limit the devices that can connect to your portable Wi-Fi hotspot by touching Allowed device list.

3- When configuring the feature, enter or edit the Network SSID, select the Security feature, enter or edit the Password (if required), select Broadcast network name (SSID) to make your network visible or invisible, and touch Save. Check Show Advance options to change the Broadcast channel.

Connecting to Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

1- Activate Wi-Fi on the device you want to connect to your mobile device.

2- Search for your hotspot using the information shown to you on the portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings screen, and enter the necessary information.
