1- Disable all data connections over mobile networks to save power when you’re not using the Internet. Doing so does not prevent your device from transmitting data over other wireless networks.
  • To turn off all data traffic
  • From the Home screen, drag Application arrow icon in Sony Ericsson Smartphones upwards.
  • Find and tap Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks.
  • Unmark the Data traffic checkbox.

2- Turn off GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when you don’t need these features. You can turn them on and off more easily by adding the Power control widget to your Home screen.
  • To add the Power control widget to your Home screen
  • From the Home screen, press Menu key in Sony Ericsson Smartphones.
  • Tap Arrange widgets > Add widget.
  • Select the Power Control widget. You can now turn on and off Wi-Fi™, Bluetooth and GPS more easily.

3- Increase the synchronisation interval for your email, calendar and contacts.

  • To change the synchronisation schedule for the RoadSync™ applications
  • From the Home screen, drag Application arrow icon in Sony Ericsson Smartphones upwards.
  • Find and tap RoadSync > Settings > Sync Schedule.
  • Tap any setting to change it.
  • When finished, tap Set.

4- Check the battery usage menu in the phone to see which applications use the most power.
  • To access the battery usage menu
  • From the Home screen, drag Application arrow icon in Sony Ericsson Smartphones upwards.
  • Find and tap Settings > About phone > Battery use to see which installed applications consume the most battery power.
  • Close and exit applications that you are not using.

5- Lower the screen brightness level
To adjust the screen brightness
  • From the Home screen, drag Application arrow icon in Sony Ericsson Smartphones upwards.
  • Find and tap Settings > Sound & display > Brightness.
  • To decrease the screen brightness, drag the slider to the left. To increase the screen brightness, drag the slider to the right.
